Elements Trio
A global chamber trio bridging Indian ragas, western minimalism, and contemporary improvisation — uniting George Brooks, Kala Ramnath, and Gwyneth Wentink in a new musical conversation
Elements Trio represents a new standard in global chamber music, combining the unique talents of American saxophonist and composer George Brooks, north Indian violinist and vocalist Kala Ramnath, and Gwyneth Wentink.
This adventurous trio bridges genres and traditions, drawing inspiration from Indian ragas, western minimal music, and contemporary improvisation — unifying European, Indian, and American classical and improvisational aesthetics into a new musical conversation.
After their debut recording in 2012, a successful tour followed in 2013 with performances in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. New material by Brooks and Ramnath has since evolved into the concept Alchemy of Happiness.
Kala Ramnath is considered the leading Hindustani violinist of her generation, descended from seven generations of musicians. George Brooks is acclaimed for bridging jazz and Indian classical music, with collaborations including Zakir Hussain, Terry Riley, and Yo-Yo Ma.

An interdisciplinary platform where musicians, artists, and thinkers meet — exploring creativity, ecology, and cultural renewal through music as catalyst.
Springhead Constellation is an interdisciplinary artistic platform that brings together musicians, artists, thinkers, and makers in a shared exploration of creativity, ecology, and cultural renewal. It exists to create new forms of artistic practice for the 21st century - where disciplines meet, and where music becomes a catalyst for dialogue between the arts, the natural world, and society.
Springhead Constellation was co-founded in 2024 by Gwyneth Wentink and Sir John Eliot Gardiner. As CEO of Springhead Constellation and curator of the Constellation Symposium, she develops projects that connect music with history, philosophy, science, and the natural world - creating spaces where artistic experience and wider questions of meaning and belonging can meet.

Echoes of a Quiet Act
A new multidisciplinary performance about Noor Inayat Khan — Sufi musician, wartime spy, and soul torn between inner peace and resistance. Premiering September 2026.
Echoes of a Quiet Act is a new multidisciplinary performance project, premiering in September 2026, centred on the life of Noor Inayat Khan. The work explores Noor’s extraordinary story as a Sufi musician, writer, and wireless operator for the British Special Operations Executive during the Second World War. Moving between inner spirituality and the harsh realities of war, her life embodies a profound tension between peace and resistance, vulnerability and courage.
Through a combination of live harp performance, electronic sound, spoken word, and theatrical elements, Echoes of a Quiet Act brings Noor’s world to life. Fragments of text, music, and historical material are interwoven to create a layered narrative that reveals not only her actions, but her inner life - her doubts, her strength, and her unwavering sense of purpose.
The project is created in close collaboration with composer and sound artist Wouter Snoei, stage director Cora Burggraaf and Han Ruiz Buhrs, set design
